  • Part of the construction industry for 45+ years

  • Over 25 years as a Building Inspector and Plans Examiner, including 5 years in the Cayman Islands

  • ICC Qualifications include: Certified Building Official, Chief Building Code Analyst, Building Inspector, Plans Examiner, Plumbing Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Green Building Residential Examiner

  • A.A.S Degree

  • Reviewed many high-rise structures in his career.

  • Was the president of the North Carolina Building Inspector’s Association (NCBIA).

DAVID VERHOEVEN

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Cardiff University

  • Master’s Degree in Advanced Structural Engineering from Imperial College London (specialising in concrete structures)

  • ICC Qualifications include: Commercial Building Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Accessibility Plans Examiner/Inspector

  • Worked as a Combination Inspector for the Department of Planning for over 4 years.

  • Performed all Third-Party inspections for the Kimpton Grand Cayman project (10-story hotel and condo)

  • Worked as a design structural engineer for over 4 years
